Who is the mutant that looks like a red Nightcrawler in X-men First Class?

The red guy with the facial hair on his chin, who can teleport and has a tail. I watched the movie yesterday and Nightcrawler is my favorite X-man so I really wanted to know who he was and why he had the same mutation as Nightcrawler. I kept hearing his name, but I could only remember it for a second and couldn't really understand it because it sounded unusual and kind of foreign. I thought it started with a "F".
