Wireless Computer issues?

My family have two laptops with a wireless system setup. it was all working fine till a couple of days ago when the laptops wouldn't connect. Today it was all fine except one of the laptops still wont connect. Can you help because im thinking that the easy solution would be to introduce the piece of **** to a sledge hammer :P
