Do Marigold plants come back to life after they die?

I recently got a Marigold plant. I watered it everyday and it grew really fast. I mean I would check in on it every couple hours and it would have grown and sprouted something else. When I replanted it, it was growing but then I noticed the lower leaves turned brownish and all the leaves had these black dots but it was like it was inside the leaf. Then a couple days ago it died! I was still watering it everyday cause watering it everyday didn't affect it in a bad way before I had it in a pot. Sooooo I was wondering if it will come back to life?????????? I read later on (after it died) to see what is up with this type of plant and read that you are suppose to water it 1-2 times a week and leave it in direct or indirect sunlight (which I did) but when I found out the watering I was like "OH MAN!". So can this plant come back to life?
