I love to eat Ph� and recently I heard Bean Sprouts carry a risk for E.Coli should I worry?

Is anything safe to eat these days? Apparently E.Coli is a common concern with raw bean sprouts and being a lover of Asian cuisine I am concerned about the risk of a highly toxic bean sprout. My question is, would a bowl of Ph� be hot enough to kill any E.Coli? Or are we at an enormous risk when we consume this amazing soup?
