Is it normal for babies as young as two months to be attracted to the tv.?

My baby is 2 months and a week old. No matter where I put her in the room she always seems to fix her eyes on either the RV or if she can't shell stare at the light. Is this normal. Should I let her watch educational shows like on sprout. I have begun to read to her and she loves it. She smiles at all the colors in the book.
