What is a good autobiography to read?

I was just assigned to read an autobiography of my choice for a literature class. So far, I have been suggested "Under a Cruel Star," and "Night." I was thinking something by a person who lived in the Soviet Union, some of President Obama's works, or a German or U.S. soldier's experience in WWII (maybe one of the memoirs from Robert Leckie or Eugene Sledge from The Pacific). Any help would be appreciated
